Formaster Training Aids

ForMaster_rev3

The Original Formaster and Rigid Formaster Training Aids are excellent for the beginner, intermediate or expert archer.  They teach proper back tension and follow-through techniques by establishing muscle memory throughout the draw and release.  Technical manual and complete instructions are included.  Installs on any bow.  (Bow not included.)

The Original Formaster

The Original Formaster Training Aid uses a rubber resistance cord, which allows you to train with the full-release of an arrow.

Straps

To determine your size: Measure the full circumference around elbow with your draw arm completely straight.  This measurement should be at the largest part of the elbow.  The Strap should fit snugly around the draw arm when arm is bent in the full draw position.  If strap is too large, it will slide down the arm, causing the rubber cord to be too weak to obtain optimal results.

Sizes: X-Small (8″-9″), Small (6″-10″), Medium (10″-11″), Large (11″-12″), X-Large (12″-13″), XX-Large (13″-14″)

Resistance Cord

It is generally recommended that J.O.A.D. and beginners start with 13 – 17 lbs; women and young adults – 21 – 28 lbs and men – 28 – 31 lbs.  The maximum recommended pull-weight without shooting an arrow is 50 lbs.  The maximum recommended pull-weight with an arrow is 70 lbs.

13 pounds – for short draw lengths (approximately18”-20”)
17 pounds – for short draw lengths (approximately 18”-20”)
21 pounds – for medium draw lengths (approximately 21”-27”)
28 pounds – for longer draw lengths (28” or longer)
31 pounds – for longer draw lengths (28” or longer)

The Rigid Formaster

The Rigid Formaster Training Aid is sold assembled using a non-rubberized cord, which allows you to draw and release without using an arrow. The maximum recommended pull-weight is 70 lbs.

The Original Formaster is designed with two pieces: the Strap and the Resistance Cord. (Each sold separately for a customized fit)
